Glass painting
GLASS PAINTING
Glass is so beautiful n paintings too When glass and paints are combined, they create amazing works of art. The art of glass painting is becoming popular, especially with those who want to decorate their homes with an artistic touch. In fact, it is not very tough to do. You can create a beautiful painting in a day.
All you need to do glass painting is a little imagination and patience...
Materials:
A piece of cloth to clean the glass
Glass (2mm width )size is based on pattern u select
A pattern to trace -u can take print out of ur fav design you can search for more patterns or else u have patterns made by you thn good to go...
Glass colours kit- they include colours and glass liner they are easily available in market ..water based colours are easy to handle than oil basedcolours .these glass colours are also used on stained glass ,mirror ,transparent sheets (used to cover books)..
steps to follow
1. clean the glass to get a smooth surface.
2.Select a pattern which has clear outlines.
3.Trace the pattern on a piece of the glass u choose.place the pattern below the glass and trace the design.
4.Make outlines of the pattern on the glass with the help of glass liner these liner act as border which hold the colours. These out liners are available in all colours but liner we get in glass colours kit is black.so mostly we use black.
5.While doing all these, be careful not to mess up the pattern.
6.Leave the pattern to dry up.
7.Now use the colours to fill in the pattern with tube directly do not use brush.you can mix two colours if u want i mixed yellow and pink for skin colour.u can directly mix the colours on glass.
8.If any bubbles are made in the colours while painting, then pierce them with needle or a pin.
9.Allow the painting to dry for at least 24 hours.
10.After drying u can frame it and hang it in ur home as art piece or u can gift any one.
Here are some glass paintings i have done.. i used gold 3d liner for ornaments..
In this i just used gold 3d out liner.
