Ice Cream Stick Flowers for CSCC August Week #2 Challenge

This week CSCC August week #2 challenge is sponsored and hosted by my dear friend Dr Sonia.. :D
and the challenge is Handmade flowers using any material.. you might have seen Dr Sonia's blog she has lot of tutorials on making flowers with various materials and i love those flowers mainly foam sheet roses..
i want to make something different so i tried making a flower using ice cream sticks and am happy  they turned out so well..  :D

i have a tutorial for you here we go ..you just need ice cream sticks ,card board , scissor, acrylic colors, small gold beads, Shilpkar M-seal and glue.. :)
First cut the ice cream stick as shown below and cut the cardboard in round shape..

glue the lower part of the ice cream sticks to the cardboard
then glue the upper parts of the ice cream sticks in middle of the gap as a layer i have used M-seal to give dimension..

then add other layer of sticks and last layer add small pieces of sticks cut from lower part .. added a center using m-seal..
 Now coloring time..

colored them with pink acrylic color and colored the center part with gold..

add gold beads in the center and done..

join the fun this week at CSCC with your handmade flowers cant wait to see what you people will come up with.. :)
  Hope you like my flowers..
Thanks for stopping by today ..have a great weekend.. :)

  1. This is a great idea for 3 dimensional flowers. I think we can use them as lamp holders too during Diwali
