Walnut shell brooch

Hi!! Today am going to share a brooch experimented with  walnut shell.. :)

I have decoupaged a picture in center of walnut shell and glued the rhinestones around it ...

used m-seal(epoxy clay)to fill the shell and inserted a safety pin and sealed it with some more m-seal ..

Then colored the remaining edge of shell and back of shell with gold acrylic.. and the brooch is ready..

 Hope you liked it ..
Thanks for stopping by ..Happy weekend..:)

  1. Very beautiful and a great idea to use mseal....I tried something similar for my chithiram collection, but it was too heavy and i was afraid that it will fall down and pin would come off. Have you tried wearing it??

  5. Lovely brooch Radhika ! Reminds me of the time when I used to teach crafts to kids . Made lots of fridge magnets by painting the shells . I used to stuff the hollow with crushed paper and stick thick card to close the shell from behind and then glue the magnetic tape available . It makes the article light , but the finish you have given is much more neat . I`m going to try your idea .
